A mathematics teacher by profession, Kym served as the Treasurer of the Theatre Association of South Australia for over ten years. Kym is a graduate of the Arts Management program at the University of South Australia and applies these skills to assist in the management of local theatre companies.  A keen traveller, he enjoys sampling performances around the world whenever he can.
