Horace Andy & Dub Asante (Jamaica/UK)
At the age of 60, Horace Andy is still showing the rest of us how it's done. A veteran of the roots reggae scene, he has been recording and performing since 1967. Luckily for us, time hasn't dulled his vocal capacity one bit, nor his ability to get you grooving like an old school Rastafarian.
Joined onstage by UK act Dub Asante, together they spent an hour invoking the kind of dancing you can only get away with at WOMADelaide, or perhaps in privacy of your bedroom at home, lest someone call an ambulance to treat you for a case of spontaneous epilepsy. But that's what WOMAD is for - if you hang out for that one time of year where you can dance like a freak and not be judged for it (well, at least not audibly), then this set was for you!
Hope you were there, it was seriously fun!
